MAMASAMBA – A New Restaurant & Bar has Opened at the Zone, Rosebank
MAMASAMBA is the new restaurant and bar that has just opened in Rosebank.
MAMASAMBA, a double story restaurant and bar, is situated at The Zone @ Rosebank shopping center, and it’s a spot where we can expect Latin American flavours with a twist.
This two-story space is a beautiful space where you can enjoy a brunch, or dinner, with no shortage of Instagrammable spots. There’s views to enjoy and the food is just as flavourful, based on reviews that we have seen so far. The food is Central and Latin American inspired, so you can expect bright, flavourful and dishes that are also exciting.

For brunch, one can expect the likes of a breakfast bowls like the Pina Colada, to the Salmon Tostada (Ceviche dressed salmon, cubed avocado, spicy kimchi creme fraiche, lemon & chilli spice. Served with crispy tostada) to the Lamb Barbacoa (which is slow braised pulled lamb shoulder, chimichurri beans, chilli marinated feta, crispy sweet potato and a fried egg) to the Smoked Salmon Chaufa and so much more.
Those that delight in sweet things can look forward to the Pan De Banana, Mamacita’s Hotcakes or the Rabanada ( wgich is a french toast waffle, burnt dulce de leche, caramelised banana, dulce de lece gelato and cinnamon).
For a late lunch or dinner, you can expect an ala carte menu, with starters, sushi, coal oven smoking & grilling type of dishes like your prime rib, as well as dishes prepared by open fire wood & charcoal grill.

They have a good variety of dishes from Pulpo a la Brasa (which is your chargrilled octopus,with ancho ponzu, black rice, sofrito verduras, sweet potato bravas and aji amarillo mayo), Rib Eye Asado (which is rib eye on the bone, with whiteonion cream, josper pumpkin & potato with chive queso), Mexican beef ribs (Mango & cola braised sticky beef ribs, fennel & smokey jalapeno salad), Baby grilled chicken, Linefish, Grilled salmon and Prawns.
The first floor, is where the restaurant is situated as well as the open kitchen. Upstairs is where the bar and the seating area is . . . the restaurant decor is modern and beautiful.
This project is by Colada House – led by restaurateurs Gaz Hollywood and Jo Dos Passos who are the team behind Proud Mary, so we know we are in for a treat. MAMASAMBA is located at the Zone at Rosebank, and is open everyday from 6h30 am to 11 PM.

Operating times this December may deviate slightly, because of the holidays and Christmas.
