Weddings are extremely beautiful and romantic, and a wedding venue that is LGBTQ+ friendly is a beautiful addition to what is already a beautiful sentimental day. South Africa as you know is one of the most forward constitutions when it comes to same sex relationships and weddings, so it’s a no brainer that a lot of people look to South Africa as their same sex wedding destination of choice.
A lesbian/gay wedding venue that is inclusive to all LGBTQ+ community members is a venue where people are free to be who they are without judgement. As much as South Africa’s constitution is for the LGBTQ+ community, the truth is, there are still a lot of wedding venues that are discriminatory when it comes to same sex weddings, so on this blog post, we want to highlight wedding venues that are LGBTQ+ friendly. As lesbians in this community, we too deserve to get married in beautiful venues that are LGBTQ+ friendly, where we can totally be ourselves.

According to their website, Shepstone Gardens proudly welcomes lesbian couples with open arms and a warm heart. They go on to say that it is a great honour for them to support the gay, lesbian and LGBTQIA+ community and we totally love that! Shepstone Gardens is located at 12 Hope Rd, Johannesburg
De Uijlenes
According to their website, De Uijllenes is a rustic farm and forest wedding venue that is lesbian friendly. They are situated in Grootbos Rd, Gansbaai, 7220, in the Western Cape.
Hogsback Country Weddings
