December Festivals That You Can’t Miss
December is finally here, and as you know, there are parties and festivals galore. We have hustled the entire year, and now, it’s time to relax and have some fun with friends and family.
Also, 2022 is almost about to be wrapped up . . . and that’s something to celebrate, the fact that we are still here.
Here are some festivals to dial up the fun this December:
#1. rage Expo 2022 at Gallagher Estate (Midrand)
The rAge Expo is the number 1 event for geeks, so if you are into video gaming, technology, geek culture, esports and such, this is the festival for you.
Date: 9 – 11 December 2022 at Gallagher Estate.
#2. Cotton Fest in Paarden Eiland Park, Cape Town
The brain child of music and fashion icon Riky Rick, Cotton Fest has expanded to Cape Town. This fashion and music festival has a killer line up, and don’t forget all the Cotton fest merch that you can buy for your collection.
Date: 10 December
#3. Defected/Glitterbox/Sondela Tour in Cape Town & Johannesburg
If you are looking for a “whirlwind weekend of house music and disco”, then this concert is for you. This concert is going to happen both in Cape Town and Johannesburg (yay!) over a few days.
Dates: 15 to 16 December Cape Town
17 – 18 December Johannesburg
#4. Shimza Live in Sun Bet Arena in Pretoria
Top DJ Shimza will be doing one of his big shows in December and the line up is sick. For this concert, you can expect heavyweights like Zakes Bantwini, Samthing Soweto, Makhadzi, Sun El Musician and more.

#5. We House Sundays Festival at Du Kloof Lodge in Cape Town
The We House Sundays concert is “an intimate 2 day gathering under the stars”. Just imagine beautiful music in nature, if that’s your kind of vibe, then this festival is for you. .

#6. Ballito Big Week in Ballito Cane Fields
Ballito Big Week is bringing out the heat for this . . . just imagine an entire 7 days of music in a beautiful space by the coast.
And the line up includes award winning DJ Black Coffee! We already know that it’s going to be epic

#7. Kunye at Cabo Beach Club, Cape Town
Kunye is one of the festivals not to be missed his December. Shimza, Black Motion and more acts will be performing . . . this is the last Kunye concert of the year, so I am sure it’s going to be a banger.
