Our Experience at Veranda Guest House in Midrand
Last week, bae and I decided we needed a midweek getaway, and we decided that we were going to do Four20 Bespoke Hotel, which is something we have been contemplating on for a while.
That didn’t quite work out, and without getting into details, we ended up in Veranda House. Veranda House is a self catering accommodation not too far from Four20 Bespoke , convenient if you are looking for midweek getaway or if you are in town for work.
Veranda House: First Impression
When we got to Veranda House, we loved that the property is in a quiet area, far away from the bustle of the city, a very tranquil place which is highly recommended.
We were met by a very friendly gentleman, John who helped us with our luggage, and later helped us with the fireplace , so we knew that we were in great hands.
Veranda House: Accommodation
We were ushered into our self catering unit that had a private outdoor patio (which we didn’t use – sad ). It also had a big King-size bed (I think), a lounge and a little dining area.
The unit has an open plan bedroom, lounge and dining area, it also had a fireplace, one of the favorite features about our unit.
The unit also had a separate toilet, bathroom with double showers and a bathtub, unfortunately one of the showers was not working. It also had a cute fully-equipped kitchenette, so we had everything we needed.
We were excited about the fireplace and getting that going, because it was somewhat of a chilly night, and it was really fun watching Netflix over some wine while enjoying the fire place.
The bed and the pillows were very comfortable, so we definitely had a great night’s sleep.
Veranda House : Facilities and Activities
Veranda House has a few things to make your stay a good experience, these include a lounge area, secured parking for your car; an outdoor pool which was right otside our unit and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Even though Veranda House guest house feels like you are away from the city, the truth is it’s pretty close to anything that you may need. Fourways or Bryanston is just a few minutes, as well as Kyalami.
Final Thoughts
We had a good stay at Veranda House, and we took advantage of the fireplace and the tub. Couldn’t do the pool as it was a bit chilly.
The place is nice, the units are spacious, the stuff are very friendly and very helpful. We definitely would recommend this place to family and friends!
