Our Dining Experience at Mozambik Restaurant in Benoni
When baby and I think flavour . . . we think Mozambik Restaurant. The first time we did Mozambik, it was the one in Linksfield . . . then we went on to try the one in Sunninghill, Centurion Mall and then Benoni. And every single time . . . the food wins our hearts. We have fallen in love with their sauces, their flavours and just about every dish we have tried tastes really good.
So we were very excited to try out Mozambik Restaurant in Benoni.
Mozambik Restaurant Benoni: First Impressions
Mozambik is a Portuguese restaurant that serves a seafood menu . . . our favourite being fish and prawns. The sauces are to die for, and the dishes are cooked to perfection. If you are someone who loves your meat, you can always do their steak or chicken.
When we got to Mozambik Benoni, we were instantly in love with the location, which feels like you are outside of the city. We were blown away by the atmosphere of the place, the view is tranquil and and beautiful, and with the view of the water there is truly a feeling of being outside of the city, away on holiday.
Our waiter was nice and ushered us right in, and with Covid 19 still roaming around, we opted to sit outside to enjoy the fresh air and watch the fish and the ducks by the water, right next to our table.
Mozambik Restauant Benoni: The Food & Drinks
We knew exactly what we wanted to order, which was some prawns, chicken with vegetables and chips, as well as chicken, calamari and rice. We put our order in, and ordered our cocktails to complement our experience.
We ordered some cocktails while we waited for our food, and we didn’t have to wait long for it.
The dishes didn’t disappoint . . . the prawns were delicious (I can’t begin to tell you about how sumptuous the sauce was) and the chicken was tender and just perfect. Bae allowed me to sample some of her calamari, and it was succulent and cooked to perfection!
The service was good, our waiter was prompt and attentive, and she made sure to check on us every now and again. When she made a error with my order by bringing me rice instead of chips, she rectified it quickly without a fuss, which was great. The manager even came to check up on us, so overall the service was great!
The vibe was also great . . . music was playing in the background, even young people could enjoy a meal there while enjoying the music . . . and it definitely sets for a great vibe which compliments the scenery.

Final Thoughts
Mozambik Restaurant in Benoni was such a vibe, it was very relaxing and tranquil, and we had a very good experience. The scenery is breathtaking, and we couldn’t fault the food.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and we definitely would go there again.
Would we recommend it to our friends and family? The answer is a resounding YES . . . if you love amazing food in a tranquil place, then you will enjoy Mozambik Benoni!
