Prime Energy Drink Flavours
There are 4 flavours that are available in South Africa currently – Ice Pop, Lemon Lime, Blue Raspberry, and Tropical Punch.
We couldn’t get the energy drink on the day that it was released, and by the time we could get to Checkers, we could only fin two flavours left. I believe we got lucky to even get those 2 flavours, as the energy drink got sold out in some checkers outlets.
Initially Prime was to be sold in South Afrika, for a staggering R500 per pop, and of course the conversation on social media intensified, as people tried to understand why it came with such a high price tag.
We were super relieved when we heard days later that Checkers would be the official chain to launch and stock the the beverage at their 237 stores nationwide, and that it would only be sold for R40 . . . which to be honest is more on the expensive side compared the other local energy drinks.
Prime Drink Ingredients
There has been a lot of debate when it comes to this hydration drink, on whether it is healthy to consume. this is even made worse by the fact that even school going teenagers were so hyped up about it, and wanted the drink as well.
What I noticed is that the drink contains electrolytes, as well as a lot of vitamins and minerals. and despite it having a low level of sugar, I found the drink to be very sweet.
The hydration drink that has launched in South Africa does not contain caffeine, which is a huge plus.
Is it something you will be adding to your life (style) or you are happy to never experience it again?
